NAWBO Extends Relationship with HP
Together: Rising—NAWBO and HP Working to Grow Women’s Businesses
(McLean, Va., March 4, 2008)—The National Association of Women Business Owners® (NAWBO®) proudly announces its continued relationship with HP to help women entrepreneurs achieve and exceed their personal and professional goals.
“NAWBO is thrilled to continue its relationship with HP, which helps our members meet their growing technology needs,” said NAWBO President Lisa Kaiser Hickey, CEO of Douglass Screen Printers, Inc., in Lakeland, Fla. “With this kind of generous support, women entrepreneurs will be empowered to take their businesses to the next level of success.”
The NAWBO Corporate Partner program offers organizations the opportunity to cultivate a relationship with the fastest growing segment of the business community—women entrepreneurs. In addition, these relationships help NAWBO fund vital initiatives that allow the association to deliver greater benefits to its members.
“The engagement and events that we have had with NAWBO over this past year have given HP considerable insight into one of the most important and rapidly growing segments in the US small business economy,” said Lisa Baker, director of Business Marketing, HP. “During this second year of our relationship, we look forward to expanding our engagement and support to a local level with select NAWBO chapters so we can connect with women entrepreneurs on a more personal level.”
HP aims to help women entrepreneurs leverage its personal computing, printing, software and services portfolio to be a competitive asset for their businesses. Through a Web site specially designed for women entrepreneurs located at www.hp.com/go/women, they can access free online classes, read firsthand about other successful HP female leaders and customers, shop for technology products, explore grant opportunities, and more.
